It was a narrow escape from a terrible railroad accident. Dave Wixom, who was sentenoed in the circuit court of this county ou May 5, 1896, to foor years' imprisonment in Jackson prison, for larceny, succeeded in working ou the goodness of heart of Governor Piugree to such a degree that he was grauted a pardon by the chief executive on Saturday, Feo. áO.
