In a recent interview Wellington R. Burt, of Saginaw, president of the Ann Arbor Railroad, said that recent irnproveinents on that road had shortened the line betweeu Ann Arbor and Frankfort about eight miles, and the most important part of it was that the road had got rid of several heavy grades. Betwren Aun Arbor and Whitruore Lake, ihe road has been shortened about three and a half railes and the grade reduoed from 9(5 feet to the mile to 20.
