The Ten Commandments

The penalites for breaking the ten commandments as ptoposed in the bill whicb C. R. Walters has introdoced in the Kansas legislatnre are as follows: 1. Thou shalt have no other gods bef ore me - $1,000 fine. 2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, eto. - $1,000 fine and one year in the penitentiary. 3. Thou shalt not take the name of ;be Lord thy God in vain, etc. - $500 3ne. 4. Remeruber the Sabbath day and keep it holy, etu., $500 fine. 5. Honor thy father and tby raother - .$500 fine and six months in the peni;entiary. 6. Thou sbalt not kill- Death by hauging. 7. Thou shalt not eommit adultery - Imprisonment for life. 8. Thou shalt not steal - Fine or mprisonment at discretiou of court. 9. Thou shalt not bear false witness - Iroprisonmeut at discretiou of oourt. 10. Thou shalt not covet - Fine
