Want To Turn Him Out
A bitter fight has been going ou in St. Panl's Germán Bvangelical churcb, Detroit, of wbich Eev. J. G. Hildner is pastor, for some time. Tbere are two factions in the chucrh, oue for the retentiou of Mr. Hildner as pastor, the other bittfcrly opposed to it. The chnroh board noiv stands 6 for and 6 against Mr. Hildner, but the anris claim one of the paator's supporters was ülegally elected and will try to have his place filled by oue of their uumber. Au appeal to the synod by a portion of tbe congregation for the pastor's renioval has not yet beeu made public, although it is said to have been forinulated. A member of the synod has intimated that the verdict would be adverse to the pastor. Rev. J. G. Hildner, is father of Instructor J. A. C. Hildner, of the ü. of M., and is well knowu in Ann Arbor.
