A freight oar weigbing 30,000 ponnds will snstain a weight of 60,000pounds and drawn by a 40 ton locomotivo, will travel over smooth rails at an average rate of 20 miles an honr. But a 24-pound bioycle will carry a man weighing 175 ponnds or more, and, over a country road, with a minimum of effort, he will move at the rate of ten miles an honr. These figures are indicativo of a new era in looomotion, and serve to emphasize the wonderfnl resulta acbieved by the pneumatic tire. A freight car carries twice its weight 20 railes an honr ; the bioyole oarries seven times its weight ten miles an honr. Mrs. H. B. Hutchins, Mrs. W. H. Wait, Mrs. C. B. Nancrede, Mrs. C. S.
