Tbis is a bosy week for Milan teacbers and pnpils at school closes this week. Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Debenham entertained guests from Wanseon, Ohio, last week. Mrs. VanBnren bas rented part of her house on E. Main st. to Mrs. Lyons and son. Miss Elsa Springer has returned to Ypsilanti after a few days' visit with her mother. Reynolds has retnrned to his home in Detroit after a three weeks' visit with Milan friends. Miss Fannie Day came on her wheel from Ypsilanti to Milan in IX bours one day the last of the week. Mr. and Mrs. F. Lawrence, of Dnndee, have moved into part of Mrs. Wm. Easterly's house on W. Main st. C. T. Sill has had the good Inck to strike a spring of pure water in his yard. It rnns a barrel a minute. Attorney and Mrs. G, R. Williams are entertaining guests from Detroit, Jackson and Mooreville this week. Prof. and Mrs. Dennison, of Dnndee, spent Snnday with Mrs. Dennison 's parents Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hack. Dr. T. A. Miller's wife arrived from Ohio the last of the week, and they wil] keep house back of his office on Main st. T. S. Blackmer and a gentleman friend gave his Milan friends a surprise Sunday. They came from Mooreville on a tandem bicycle making good time they said. Rev. R. N. Bouck delivered the bacoalaureate at the Baptist church Sunday evening the church was beautifully deoorated with palms and the mnsic was very fine. Prof. C. M. Fuller presided at the orgau and the Baptist choir sang some fine selections. Several of the Milan people attended the commencement exercises at the Mooreville Baptist chureh. Prof. C. M. Fuller bas been doing some fine work there. The Pease quartette furnished the music which was very fine, and Prof. Uhas. Hoyt, of the State Noimal, delivered a masterly address, which contained some new ideas in the line of school work. The three graduates had fine papers.
