James (Jolims, lor beiĆ¼g drunk was ariesed by Offloer Collins and tried before Justioe Pund, Friday, wbo sent him to jail for five days. Richard Ray, a coJored barber, for tbe same offense, was given eight days iu jail at tbe same time, as bis friends thought it would take him that leugth of time to get sober. Alfred ParoDS, plain drnnk, was before Justice Pond, Saturday. His promise to reform and go to work was soppleruented by 10 days in jail to give him time tosorew his conrageup to the sticking point so that he conld keep the promise. Herman Knapp, drunk, was given 30 days in jail he being an old offender. Michael Pitoh and Frank Walker, same offense, were given three and five days reapectively. Frank Trescott, oue of the fellows who stole the overooat frora John Reddaway, the second hand dealer, was taken into Jnstice Pond's conrt Monday morning, and pleading guilty was aeijt to jail for 10 days.
