Washington, June 22.- Judge Bradley has sustained the motion of the defense in the case of John Macartney, broker of this city on trial for alleg-ed contempt oí the senate sugar trust investí - gation ;Dmmittee and ordered the jury to returp verdict of acquittal. The ground oí the Judge's decisión was that he questíons asked were individual iiuestions of Senator Allen and not committee questions. Mr. Macartney was he last of the alleged recalcitrant witnesses to be tried, so that the record tands - acquittals six, convictiohs one - namely, Elverton R. Chapman of New Cork city, who served twenty-flve days (actual) in jail.
