"Jim," the white bul] terrier, who bas been a faithful adjunct of the local fire department for the pastseven years, was run over by a wagon and killed ou Tuesday eveniug. In view of bis long service be was acoorded a grand funeral at about midnigbt, being borne to his grave by Heury McLaren, John Kenny, Ed Hoelzle and Eugene Williams. 'Doe' Hoelzle and Max Wittlinger aoted as toren bearers, while Charlie Edwards and Oeorge Hoelzle were íespectivejy, flrst and secoud grave-diggers. Max Wittlinger was in charge of the choirs, of wbich tbere were two, one Euglish and one Germán. The grave is located in the department burying ground which contains two dogs, three ooous and several other animáis. A stone monument will be erected over the grave.
