Last evening Elmer Stofflet and C. P. Stevens between whom there is no great aifection, met in front of Adamson's and a few vords passed becween them, when qniok as thonght Stofflet gave bim a biff tbat laid him out oompletely. Many thonght him in a bypnotio state, he was so rigid. He was carried to the Lilley house, a physician and ere long he carne to himself. - Tecnmseh Herald, Jnly 9. The sequel to this item is found in the following taken from the Adrián Telegram of July 13 : "Elmer Stofflet, who rnns a bicycle repair shop in Tecnmseh, was bronght here yesterday afternoon hy Tnrnkey Haviland, charged with assault and battery on Chas. Stevens, the teacher in riding wheels. Mention was made of Mr. Stevens' troubles yesterday. Stofflet leaded guilty bef ore Jnstice Miller and )aid a fine of $1 and cos ts."
