National Democrats Of Kentucky
Louisville, Ky., July 13.- The state convention of the National Democrats of Kentucky was called to order at 2 p. m. Tuesday by Secretary Carroll, State Chairman Davie being in Europe. ilon. J. C. Sims of Bowling Green was made temporary chairman, while exSecretary John G. Oarlisle will be permanent chairman. Among the leaders who were present were General Simon Bolivar Buckner, Senator William Lindsay, Hon. James A. McKenzie, minister to Peru; State Senator Henry L. Martin of Woodford, who led the Blackburn forces in the Pght for the United States senate; W. C. P. Breckinridge, R. P. Jacobs, James A. Violett, ex-Lieutenant Governor J. R. Hindman, Cas=sius M. Clay, Jr., Judge J. Q. Ward, John T. Hinton, Hon. C. U. McBlroy, j; D. Powers. General S. E. Hill, John T. Shelby and others.
