Mr. and Mrs. Chandler are nicely settled in E. A. Reynolds' honse on First st. Mrs. Chas. Ganntlett is the gnest of Mrs. Coia Campbell at Detroit for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Webb Blaokmer are maving into their house on Wilcox st. this wek. Bv."and Mrs': F: O. Joirês are at--) tending the Epworth League convention I at Toronto. Several of the Milan boys cyoled to Ano Arbor, Whitmore Lake and Ypsilanti Snnday. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Zimmerman are entertaining guests from Daytou, Ohio, for a few days. Tiie L. O. T. M. indnlged in an ice creara feast at the vacant store in O. P. Newcomb's block. J. H. Ford has put a fine addition to his porch on the southeast side of his house on County st. Miss Graoe Debenham returned Saturday froin a tv? o weeks' visit -with friends in Peru, Ind. Airs. W. H. Wbitmarsh and daughter lino left Tnesday for a few days' visit with Inkster friends. Rev. Mr. Gibson, of Stony Creek, preached at the M. E. church Sunday morning and evening. Justice Webb and wife, of Saline, are the guests of their daughter Mrg. C. M. Blackmer this week. Mr. aud Mrs. Fred Gauntlett and sons retnrned ISnnday from a week's visit with Detroit friends. W. H. Whitmarsh left Monday afternoon tor Mt. Clemens, where he will take baths for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Ronse and sou, of Saline, were the guescs of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse, Snnday. The Ladies' Aid Society held its tea social at Mrs. D. Beli's residence on First st. Wednesday afternoon. Gentle showers are welcome these warm days, and we have received several suoh oalls for the last two days. Prof. Dennison, of Dundee, spent Snnday with Milan friends, returning to his stimmer school Monday morning. Ex-Postmaster Gauntlett is resting on his laurels and he won a bost of them during his active work in that offioe. Prof. H. O. Case and Mlle. DeCazart are giving psychie readings at Mrs. Dixon Burchard's parlors on County st. this week. Miss Leonie Clark left Tueday moruing for Darand, where she will be the guest of Airs. Frank Leonard for the next fonr weeks. H. Brown, of Ann Arbor, filled the Baptist pulpit Snnday roorning and evening in the absence of the pastor Rev. R. N. Bonck.
