The Consolidated meeting of the two factions held Monday decided by a close vote to stay at work. The union men, who are by far in the majority, but who were not well represented at the gathering Monday, were chagrined at the outcome, and decided to cali a second meeting in the afternoon, when they were confident that the result would be changed. They spent the intervening hours in with the opposition, and the consequence was a reversal of the morning's decisión, 132 miners being present at the afternoon meeting, and all actual union men. All outsiders - even the representatives of the press - were barred.. After continuing in session until 6 o'clock a decisión was eached to strike for scale rates, or 73 ents, and the opinión was almost nanimous, the vote standing 123 to 9. It was decided to go to work Tuesday and Wednesday and square up the rooms in he mine and remove all loose coal, thus eaving the roads and rooms in good riape until work is resumed again. After Wednesday evening not a pound E coal will be raised, not even for the ty to keep the water works in operaon.
