When the "Yellow Kids" gave their famous dancing party last April one ol the most conspicuous banners carried by them in their grand march was "We are all the Mayor's frieuds." . It is a feature of Mayor Hiscock's charactei that he does not forget his friends auc when it was annoonced to the ladies by that gentleman that the Ypsilanti moto car was at their disposal for a trolley party, Friday evening last wa selected as tbe date on which it shoulc be held. At ï :15 p. m. abont 50 ladie and gentlemen (mostly ladies) boardec the car at tbe corner of Main and Hur nn sts. and were rapidly whirled off to Ypsilanti. After a delightfol ride they arrived at Ypsi about 8 o'clock. There dainty refreshments had beeD provided to which the party did aruple justice Shortly after 9 o'clock the start on the return trip was made and an impromptu dance was giveu in the aisle of the car, the older ruembers of the party going through the Virginia reel inuch to the amusement of tbe younger oues who watcbed the performance from seats on the Windows or any old place they could perch onto. The party was a success and the mayor was voted a "jolly good fellow" by all who attended it.
