Mrs. Ehvood has retnrned from her Bliesfield visit. Max McKay, of Detroit, is the guest of Alton Smith. Miss Maggie Barnes retnrned Friday from Tecumseh. C. L. Clark retnrned from bis Bay City visit Monday. Bom, to Mi', and Mrs. Walter Dexter, a son, Aug. 12. Miss Sadie Draper is entertaining a guest from Ypsilanti. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Stoddard hare moved to Cinoinnati. Mrs. Moore has returned from her snmmer sojourn at Port Bnron. Rev. and Mrs. F. O. Jones have retnrned from their Tecuruseh sojourn. Editor A. B. One hnndred and eighty tiokets were sold in Milan for Ann Arbor, Tnesday. Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Blaokmer left Monday for a few days' visit in Cleveland, Ohio. Invitations are out for the rnarriage of Miss Jsssie Stone and Mr. Jay Rowland, Aug. 24. M. N. Burgess, a former Milan resident, lost his barns by flre three miles east of Milan, Monday. Mesdames Moore, Bennett, and Carter, of Willis, were the guests of [Mrs. Arba Andrews Tuesday. Prof. H. P. Whinnery, of Adrián, will return to Milan Aug. 23 and oommence auother term of lessons. Mr. and Mrs. Cbas. Wilson are the gnests of their danghter, Mrs. Grace Bntler, in Detroit, for a few days. Master Forest Ostrander, of Monroe city, is visiting his giandparents Mr. and Mrs. A. Wisdom for a few weeks. Tha M. E. Ladies' Aid Sooiety held its tea social at the residence of Mrs. H. A. Taylor on First st., Wednesday afternoon. Prof. Koester and family haveretnrned from Traverse, Bay oonnty, and are the gnests of Mr. and, Mrs. Filón (jrauntlett. Kev. J. P. fïutchinson is taking a two week' rest and there will be no services at the Prebsyterian church for a couple of Snndays. Miss Mattie Smith and.
