Charles F. Stabler, the well known painter and deoorator died Snuday afternoon aft6i a very fcrief illness from the effects of an operation, aged 35 years. Two years ago Mi. Stableí was seized with appendicltis and was rhen taken to the University hospital where he nnderwent a snccesful operation for the removal of the cause of the disease and in the conrse of time recovered bis usnal good state of bealth. Something over two weeks ago Mr. Stabler again begaa to experience trouble in the same región whioh gradually got worse and on Friday night cnlminated iu snch a severe attack of pain tbat it was deemed advisabJe to take him to the hospital on Satnrday ruorning. It was then decided that auother operation was necessary and it was successfully perforrned. CJp to Snnday morning it looked as if he had a fair chance for recovery, bnt a change :or the worse then took place and doring the afternoon he sank rapidly, passing away sbortly after 4 o'clock. The funeral services were held at his late residence 25 S. Fourth ave., on Wednesday afternoon, and were condncted by Rev. John Nenmann. The remains were interred in Forest Hill cemetery. Mr. Stabler leaves a widow and our danghter. He was a son of Fred Stabiler. of W. Hurón st, and brother of Mrs. George Wabr and Mrs. Fred Rettich, jr. Be was a mamber of the A. O. U. W., K. ofP., aud Ann Arbor Lodge, B. P. O. Elks. All the lodges sent handsome floral offerings and many of the members attonded the funeral.
