Mrs. P. Silkworth has been visiting her son Myron in Jackson. IlermaD Schoettle left for Elrnhurst, 111., MowJay, to attend college. Miss Minifred Wilson, of Tecumseh, is visiting her aunt Mrs. Kundell. Wm. Neebling was in Buffalo last week aftending the G. A. K. encampment. Miss Stauger, of Ann Arbor, has been viMting her friend Miss Lena Kuenzler. About 50 persons f rom here went to Jackson Tuesday to attend the band tournament. The Misses Keobler, of Jackson, were the guests of the Braun family over Sunday. The Misses Lena Arnold and Viola Shull, of Tecumseh, visited friends here Monday. School opened Monday with an enrollment of 340 pupils, 25 non-resident pupils in the High School. Manchester is being greatly improved with the large number of cement walks, that are being laid. Sidney Case left for Boston, Mass., last Friday, where he has taken a pqsition as elerk. His many friends wish him success. Roland, Clarence and Cari Lehr returned home f rom their visit in Monroe Saturday. They were accompanied by their aunt, Miss Lilly Lehr. Mrs. John Vanderbilt, of Roseland, 111., who for the past seven weeks has been visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. M. Schaible, returned home Wednesday.
