New York, Sept. 14.- Paul Depierre, formerly vice consul of the French republic at Nëw Orleans, killed himself in his apartments here Tuesday by inhaling illuminating gas. Liepierre had intended to end his life Monday, and in preparation for suicide wrote a letter Sunday night, which was seen by his daughter Gabrielle, 15 years of age. ïhe girl dissuaded her father from the act at that time. Depierre had not lived happily with his second wife, who left liim about a year ago.
