Rome, Oct. 12. - Everything is quiet again, although a feeling of discontent prevailed Tuesday amöng the business men regarding the increased taxation. The riot in which six policemen and one rioter were killed was causedby thepeople being excluded from the offices of the minister of the interior. Fully 20,000 people escorted the deputation of tradesmen, headed by the prosyndic of Rome and the president of the chamber of commerce, which called upon the minister of the interior. Premier Rudir.i, who is also minister of the interior, received a committee representing the tradesmen, and promised that all that is poseible would be done to promote friendly relations and greater equity bétween the tax collectors and taxpayers. The prefect of pólice has ordered the dissolution of the Roman Socialist union.
