About 50 Masons from Plyrnouth irove over to Ypsilanti Monday afteraoon and in the eveuiDg worked the M. M. degrea on Jarnes M. Conrts, Eor Ypsilanti Lodge, No. 128. Soveial members from Aun Arbor aud other points weie also present. After the vvork was over at about 11 o'clock aearly 200 Masons sat down to a banket served by the ladies of the Eastern Star. Charles L. Stevens, the W. M. of Ypsilauti Lodge, introduced the speakers, who were J. M. Collier and P. M. Whitbeck, of Plymouth, on "Au Echo frorn Plymouth Rock Ludge" and "The Eastern Star," respeotively ; Dr. David E. Sinith ou "The Future of Masonry," Rev. Wru. Gardam ou "Fraternity," aud Judge H. Wirt Newkirk on "Symbols. " The Jatter was the speech of the evening and the judge's pointed allusioos and rich descriptions of the "symbols of Masoniy" were londly applauded. lt was 12:30 a. m. wben the banqueters sang "Auld Lang Syne" aud dispersad.
