The City Electric Lights

At the meeting of the common counoil Monday evening the coramittee on ligbting paid its respecta to the Ann Arbor Electric Co. on aeoonnt of the poor qnality of ligbt wbich has been furnished the city for some months past, in the most vigorous language. A sample of its quality can be found in the following paragraph taken from the report: "Duriag the last month pedestrians bave been compelled to carry lanterus so that they might safely walk onr steets, and strange to state these lantBrns outshone tbe glory of the would-be 2,000 candle power are lamps fnrnisbed by the proprietors of this flrefly lighting plant."
