Garrison May Be Removed

Benton Harbor, Mich., Dec. 14.- There 1s a possibility that Port Sherldan, now Eituated at Chicago, may be removed to Benton Harbor. General Ainger, reeiver of the First National bank oí this city, and ex-commander of the Michigan militia, says the close proximity of the fort to the big city is undoubtedly responsible for the atmosphere of scandal that has hung over the place since its establishment as an army post. The business men of Benton Harbor and St. Joseph are pulling to gether with a view of securing this prize for the Michigan lake shore.
