Washtenaw Fair Society

A meeting of the board of managers of the Washtenaw Fair Society was held in the supervisors' room at the conrt bouse yesterday afternoon, a large nnmber of entbusiastic members being present. Tbe treasurer's report showed the reoeipts of the year to have been $3,551.01; disbursements, $3,216.76; balanae on hand, $334. 25. The disbursements incladed, besides the premiums and expenses of the fair, old debts amounting to $262. Tbo general superintendent and superintendents of departments were eleoted as follows: General superintendent, F, E. Mills, Anu Arbor; superintendent of cattla, W. E. Stocking, Ann Arbor; of horses, John Keppler, Ann Arbor town, Fred S. Chapín, Northfleld ; sheep, N. C. Carpenter, Pittsfleld; swine, O. C. Bnrkhart, Chelsea; poultry, W. S. Carpenter, Ypsilanti; dairy, Mrs. B. D. Kelly, Ypsilanti ; flowers, Mrs. J. M. Braun, Ann Arbor town; fine arts, Mrs. J. W. Babbitt, Ypsilanti, Mrs. H. D. Platt, Pittsfleld; farm and garden produots, 3. 'M. Braun, Ann Arbor town; fruit, Mrs. M. 0x. Moore, Ypsilanti town; meobanical work, Wm, Aprill, Scio ; misoellaneous, J. H. A committee of Mrs. Babbitt, Mrs. Platt and President Avery wasappointed with power to appoint sub-commitees to construct a pioneer house on the fair grounds.
