Chicago, Jan. 18.- Tuesday' ended the expert testimony iri the Luetgert case. When the hearing was resumed at 10 o'clock Dr. Eckley was recalled, and he was followed by Rr. Riese. Their evidence was substantially that of other experts for the defense. Later in the day Louis uetgert, the 5-year-old son of the defendant, was called to the stand. It is believed the testimony of this, boy will be practically worthless, on account of the ruling of Judge Gary. lïe was allo wed to say nothing as to any statements his mother made, and his story was wholly concerning what he saw upon his return from the circus. Luetgert To Be Called Last. William Charles and his wife will be :alled to the stand before the defendand testifles in his own behalf. It is thought Luetgert will be held until the last, in the hope it will be more difficult for the state to impeach his testimony. The sausage maker says he will convince the jury beyond any shadow Of doubt that he is innocent. A few witnesses will be called in rebuttal and by the end of the week it is believed all the testimony will be in. It is not likely the closing argnments will be begun before the ftrst of the week.
