Dr. Mesio was on the siok list Sonday. Little Tummie Barnes is quite ill with the grip. The mineral veil at the school house is in good running order. JMiss Bell Tripp entertained guests from Dester over Sunday. Mr. Town, of Jaoksou, gave Milan a cali Monday and Taesday. Mr. Langblin who has a light form of typhoid fever is muoh better. Mrs. W. Lamkin's infant danghter is seriously ill witli cholera infantnm. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Allen spent Wednesday and Thnrsday in Toledo. Rev. B. N. Bonck is holding revival meetings at Mooreville Baptist chnrcb this week. Prof. Charles H. Carriok will soon have an interesting school entertainment at Gay's opera house. The "Old Folks" concert under tbe very able management of Airs. W. E. Spragoe was a snccess in every way. Rev. J. P. Hntchinson was too il at bis home in Ann Arbor to meet bis appointments at the Presbyterian chnrcb Sonday. Mrs. Whitcomb and family, of Wabash st., who have been a town oharge for several months, were sent to her fatber's home in Morenci Mouday. The remaius of J. F. Monroe are in Uudertaker Blaokruer's rooms awaiting orders as to the disposal of tbe body. Mr. Monroe was stealiug a ride on a freigbt train Sunday evening and feil between fcwo oars and was orushed. The accident happened between Milan and Pittsfield Junction on the Ann Arbor road, abont 7 o'olock Sunday evening. At the coroner's inquest ■whicb was held Tuesday morning, tbe jury came to the couclnsion that tbe death of tbe deceased was pnrely aocidental. He was a cigarmaker and a member of the Cigarmakers' Union. Home unknown. A genoine highway robbery on the Main stieet of Milan Priday evening. .lames Fitzgibbon, of Wayne oounty, was held np by a couple of men and relieved of $100. Saturday afternoon Lute and Walter Bortles were arrested on suspicion and taken to Ann Arbor jail. Tnesday afternoon tbey were brought baok to Milan for a hearing, hut as tbe complaining witnees was not present the hearing was postponed until the 24th. The prisoners are out on bail. Their attorney, Frank Jones, came to Milan and on investigation claims to bave fonnd that Fitzgibbon when he left home last week had only $12 with bim. and of this amonnt he had $5.65 af ter he olaimed to bave been robbed.
