Washington, Jan. 25. - The battleship Maine is in Havana harbor. The torpedo boat Búpont, which left Key West at 6 o'clock in the evening with the Maine and mailing orders, hailed the Malne at Dry Tortugas and delivered the orders for the battleship to proceed to Havana at once. The Dupont then returned to Key West. She reports that the Maine was about to sail when she left. It is believed at the state department that the Maine entered the harbor of Havana at the earliest hour in the morning that the Spanish fort regalations permit. No direct report, however, lias yet been received from Havana.
