An Ordinance

The Comrnon Council of the City of &nn Albor ordain : Section 1. Tliat section one of an Drdinance entitled "An Ordinance Llelative to Fire Litnit6 aud Pires" passed the sixth day of October, 1895, ind approved the twelfth day of October, 1895, be and the same is hereby Aoiended so as to read as f ollows : Section 1. Ho person, finn pr corporation shall hereafter place, enlarge ur erect any building or structure, on any lot or part of a lot fronting on any of the following streets or parts of streets, to-wit: On Main street between Kingsley and William streets, on Huron street between First street and Fifth avenue, on Washington street between Aun Arbor railroad and Fifth avenue, on Liberty street between First street and Fifth avenue, on Catherine street between Ashley street and Fifth avenue, on Foui'th avenue between Kingsley and Liberty streets, on the west side of Fifth avenue between Kingsley and Liberty streets, on Ashley street between Catherine and William streets, on the west side of State street betweaji William and Huron streets, on the east side of State street between north University avenue and Washington street, on the north side of William street between State and Maynard streets, on the east side of Maynard street between William and Liberty streets, on the south side of Liberty stieet between Maynard and State streets, and on Detroit street between Fourth avenue and Depot street, in this city, unless such building or structure shall le constructed of stone or brick witli party or öre walls of the same material: Provided, that the Board of Fire Commissiouers may, in its diseretion, grantpermission for the erection within said limitsof buildings veneered with brick or iron, aud for the erection of frame dwellings, barns and out houses in and on all that part of the above described district lying north of Catherine street west of Ashley street, south of Liberty street and on State street between Liberty and Huron streets. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after ten days from legal publication. Passed in Common Council this third day of January, A. D. 1898. Gien V. Mills, City Clerk.
