The Baptist ohoir has seoured the services of E. S. Hagaman as chorister. J Miss Anna Armstrong is spendiug a few weeks in Fr6edorn with her sister, JMrs. Jj. Reno. Preparations are heing made fpr tbe Farmers' Institute which is to be held here Feb. 15 and 16. The W. R. C. had a social gathering at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wheaton, Wednesday. A gramophone and mnsioal entertainment will be given in Arbeiter hall, Friday eveniug, Feb. 11, in the interest of the Monroe Nurseries. Rev. Hutchins, of the Baptist chnrch, expects to hold a week of meetings bere soon. He will be assisted by Rev. B. S. Hudson, of Tecnmseh. The sohool entertainment last Tuesday evening called out a crowded honse. Tickets were sold amounting to abont $55. Every nnmber on the program was well rendered, especially the last by Hngo Kirchhofer, which was heartily encored.
