It is America's dnty to upbold tbe Monroe doctrine aud I hope tbe war, when endsd, will see onr flag not only in Cuba bnt also over Porto Rico, the PhilipÏDes and Hawaii as wel)." Col. H. S. Dean also spoke. F. D. Eaman aud F. L. Alulbolland, two lit stndents, aleo made sbort speeches. The meeting closed with tbe singing of "America" by tbe andience. It was a hot meeting and full of enthnsiasm.
