Boston Fears Attack
Boston, May 16.- Officials of high rank at the navy yard place considerable credence in the rumors that some of the enemy's fleet is not far from this coast. Orders from the war department were received at Fort Warren to remove all women and children from the fort to a place of safety in case of bombar.dment. This was at once done, all of the women and children being hurried to Boston. The fact that the United States cruiser Columbia and the ram Katahdin leit the port hurriedly with sealed orders, only strengthened the suspicion that something of a grave rhnraeter is imminent.
