The thermometer on tbe day tbey arrived iu camp was 90 in tbe shad. int was a little oooler last Snnday. They are ei&eamped near tbe gi-ouud where the Sliobigan boys fought in tbe sattle of Chiokamanga, being only a short distance from Reed's bridge, where the confederates crossed the Chiokamanga and made tbeir fitst charge on the Union lines. The rations nntil yesterday oonsisted almost wholly of bacon, hard tack, and coffee, of wbioh the boys grew thorongbly :imd. It was amusing, ifc is said, to watch the faces of the boys wben ration were each day dealt uot. They were always expecting to get some ohange in the bilí of fare, bnt after tbey got their rations, the smile faded away and the boys got on tbeir old de:ermined look. Yesterday a quarter of Eresh beef was sarved ont to each company, with the announcement that ;hey would get it every seoond day. The assignments frora tbe Ann Arbor Company were: artificer, Lonis A. Krauss; wagoner, Albert Allmendinger; olerk, Frank Wagner; oook, James Tice; assistant oooks, Sam T. Lee, Arba Wilson ; orderly at división headqnarters, Riohard Flynn; ohaplain's orderly, John B. Hillman. Tbe boys have been playing foot ball in off honrs, and have been baving fun ti-yiug to drive rnnles. Eaoh company is allowed five mnles, and as the animáis íurnished by the goverument were mostly nnbroken, the boys have had a great time breakiDg in their long eared qoadrupeds.
