Considerable datnage was done in the towuships north and west of ns by tbe heavy wind storm and lightning of Friday night. In Nortbfield tbe steeple of St. Patriok's Gatbolio obnrch was strnok by tbe lightning and a large patob of sbingles was ripped off tbe roof. Lnokily, the steeple did not oatch flre. In Webster a strawstack on Mrs. Haab's farm was strook and bnrned tip. A large maple tree in front of tbe house was also blown down. A ohimny on Otis Cnabing's house was blown off, bis orohard blown down and other dainage done. In some plaoes notably on the tidge, trees were blown down into the road the fenoes bowled over and destrnotion of property was general. In Superior townsbip the barns of Pred Kinimel were destroyed but foor horses whioh were inside escaped nnhnrt. Charles Arnold's new barn was badly wreoked and cosiderable damage was done to growing orops. It was one of the heaviest storms we have had in many a day. Subscribe for the Arsrus now.
