James Armstrong was a pleasant oaller at the home of John Coyle Sunday. Miss Lncas, of Dexter, closad the spring term of school in district No. 6 last Friday. The Ladies' Sooial Circle, of Webster, met at the parsonage at Whitmore Lake Tuesday of last week. The prinoipal event of the afternoon was a speech, from C. M. Starks, whioh was enjoyed by all present. The Sunday school oonvention to be held in the M. E. ohuroh Satnrday afternoon and evening bids fair to be one of the pleasantest events of the season. Several speakers from abroad are billed on the program and a profitable time is anticipated. The Ladies' Social Cirole of the M. E. chuich gave a social Wednesday evening of last week at tberesidence of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Wheeler whioh was ' largely attended. A fine program was rendered which added mnoh to the pleasant features of the evening; after which ice cream and oake were served to the gnests. The little girls in distriot No. 5 have organized a sooial cirole among theraselves. Tbey meet once in two weeks at the home of one of the rneiubers of the club and spend the afternoon sooially, partake of the dainty refieshments served them by their mammas, then retnrn to their several homes with a feeling of sweet content tbat they have done something toward the upbuilding of society in the community io which they live.
