At the meeting of the Ann Arbor Arbeiter Unterstuetznngs Verein held Monday night Titns F. Hntzel and Miohael Gauss, the delegates to the reoent convention of the Band in Saginaw e. s. , made tbeir report. They stated among other things, tbat wben tbe Bnnd passed resolutions that the Germana of the state were heartily in sympathy with the government in its war with Spain and tcat they as patriotic American citizens pledge tbeir support to President McKinley, the convention became so entbnsiaatio tbat tbe walls of the hall almout feil in. The resolutions wer8 telegraphed to President MoKinley. Tbe delegates also reporter! tbat tbe board of trustees were deligbted with tbe way tbe treasurer of tbe Bund, Eugene Oesterlin, of this city, kept his books. They said, never in the history of tbe state society had everything been entered more oorrectly and intelligent In the past it has nsnally taken the trustees two days to make the annnal settlement, while tbisyear they settled with Mr. Oesterlin in tbree hours. He was naturally re-eleoted by acclamation.
