Old Settler Of Davenport Dead

Davenport, Ia., July 5. - D. N. Richard'son, editor of The Democrat, died at Groton, Vt. He had been out of health for several years. Mr. Riehardson was one of the old settlers of Davenport and was well known throughout the ■west, having been at one time president of the Northwest Press association. He was an extensive tra veler, had published a book about his journeya and had been conspicuous in state politics.
