The Lopez is a total loss. It was perforated by the St. Paul and Yosemite on Priday. "The Yosemite ventured to within three miles of Morro, and the Spanish trained a 10-inch rifle at the cruiser. They neglected to lock the breach, and the chief gunner was decapitated. four of his men killed and seven wounded San Juan is blockaded by four cruisers. but other ports are open. Disorders in the volunteer ranks continue. The negro maehedors have been disarmed. They terrorized the interior.
