Army Will Regulate Prices

Santiago de Cuba, Aug. S.- General Leonard Wood, the military governor of Santiago, Saturday afternoon calHed a meeting of the butchers and retail provisión dealers of this city with the object of formulating a tariff for the sale of the necessaries of life, for which thfi leaders have Iately been charging exorbitant rates. All the dealers were highly indignant at the interference of the military authority in commercial matters, but General Wood gave them until 11 o'clock this morning to agree upon moderate prices under penalty of a revocation of their licenses and the closing cf their shops.
