W. W. Watts, wbo tor the past ronr ear has been assistant postrnaster at he Ann Arbor offloe was snoceeded in bat position, Monday evening by Mrs. George H. Pond. Mr. Watts made one of the very best assistant postrnasters ;his oity has bad. He was aoourate and qnick, a good judge of hnman uatnre, oonrteons and popular. His workwas never allowed to aooarnulate, and was always well done. He removes to Detroit to acoept a position with the Detroit branoh of the New York Life Insaranoe oornpany. He has served as oity treasnrer for two terms and as president of the coinnion counoil. At different times he served as ooal editor on the Anu Arbor Argus and tbe Ann Arbor Reigster and for a nomber of years represen ted the Detroit Free Press here. He will be greatly missed in this bis native oity bnt a host of friends unite in the best wishes for the brilliant sncoess tbey have eveiy ooufidenoe he will ruake in his new line of business.
