Charles S. Dougherty, a watchman jt the Michigan Central roundhonse, in Ypsilanti, died snddenly last Wedaesday night. Dougherty had been aobjeot to severo attaoks of dyspepsia Eor the past four years. He was doping all kinds of medicines constantly and was injudioious in their use. When disoovered by comrades he was in terrible agony. He said he had taken three capsules, bnt they had made him fRel worse. Three physioians sent for refused to oowe. One sent some medicine, but it was too late. Mrs. Dougherty says that the capsules contained. four giains eaoh of "Dr. Delmar's healing herbs. " Dougherty's heart was in bad conditiou, and it is supposed the overdose of the drug oontained in the capsules brought on au attack of heart failure. Dougherty was 54 yeais old, was a veteran of the oivil war and had lived in Ypsilanti for 11 years. LA ooroner's inquest waa talked of bnt was not held owing to the fact that ernbalming fluid had been used, whicb Would hide any poison.
