Major Hysell Makes A Statement

Washington, Sept. 19. - Major Hysell, chief surgeon of the Second división, First army corps, now at Camp Poland, Knoxville, in a private letter to the surgeon general of the army, dated Sept. 14, says: "I will say that my oppoi'tunity to know the working of the medical department while at Camp George H. Thomas was perhaps as good if not much better than that of almost any medical officer on duty there, and I will say that at no time during the stay in the park was there any difficulty in procuriiig all necessary medical and hospital supplies if the proper effort was made."
