Columbus, O., Sept. 19. - Brigadier General Joseph T. Haskell, U. S. A., feil dead of apoplexy at his residencr at Columbus barracks lawn. General Haskell rode in a carriage at the head of the Seventeenth in the morning as it paraded High and Broad streets and Washington avenue, on its return from El Caney. The general appeared to be in his usual health, but naturálly suffered from severe wounds received six weeks ago at El Caney. He received a continuous ovation and the excitement was his undoing.
