Since the members of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity returned to college with well filled purses several of them have beeD robbed of sums of money of various amoauts. Donald Bodman was the first victim, $20 being taken from hia room about three weeks ago. The early part of last week Eugene Worden and Williaru Williams lost $5 and $10 respeotively and on Thursday of last week Robert D. Law had $135 taken. Things were looking serions and the matter was placed in the bands of the officers. Suspiciou rested on the colored porter at the house, John Williams, and he was arrested Friday morning. Just before the officers leacbed the jail witb' their prisoner he broke away from them and aprinted off for nis liberty. Deputy Wackenhut, however, proved more than his matoh and after a chase of two blooks overhanled Williams and he was landed in the cells. A oompaint for larceny was got ont against bim and he had his esamination in Justice Duffy's coart yesterday. ïhe paid admissions dnring the four days of the Washtenaw fair last week were 10,552, as follows: Tnesday 646, Wednesday 2,52?, Thnrsday 6,128, Friday 1,09?. This inoluded 437 15 cent tickets and 1,332 sohool ohildren's tickets on Wednesday. Tbe total receipts at the gate were $2,368.50, while last year they were $2,766.15, a falling off of f897.65.
