A WORD TO OUR READERS

Concerning the New Argus-Democrat Which Greets Them Today

The readers of both the Argus and the Democrat will notice some changes in the make up of the new Argus-Democrat, and are advised to read the whole paper carefully. The opening chapters of the story "A Circle in the Sand" which had just been commenced in the Democrat is republished so that the Argus readers may commence at the beginning. Attention is called to the Ypsilanti page, and to the Farmers' Club page as well as the two Washtenaw County pages. The Argus-Democrat will endeavor to cover the whole field of Washtenaw county news much more thoroughly than it has ever covered before. This issue would have been more complete had not the work of consolidating the papers and of making the many business changes which it entails, as well as a rush of other extra work interfered. But our readers may feel sure that they will get full value for their subscription money.
