George A. Ward of Abingdon, III., was well-to-do at the time of his death, so the members of the Congregational church, to which he belonged, expected that he would surely leave something to the church. In this they were not disappointed, though Brother Ward's gift was not at all what they had looked for. He left the church a set of false teeth, which had been plugged. Like the sensible man he is, the treasurer of the church sent the teeth to a leading dentist. The molars assayed $27 to the set, and the church is now the richer by just that amount.
