FredO. , the only son of Prof. and Mrs. Sirnmons, of Ypsilanti died at his home Monday morning at 11 o'olook, of oonsumption. The nevs was received in Owosso by Dr. Crnm, the family physician, while tbey resided here. Fred had been ill for over two years, and for a long time no hopas vvere given the parants that their son would ever be well. From the start there has been a gradual deoline, though from time to time he wonld appear to gtow stroDger. The young man was but 23 yoars of age and bis death comes bard to bis pareu ts, be being tbeir only cbild. Daring iiis illDess he had every comfort, several times being taken to points where it was thought the climate wonld be beDefioial to hitn, bnt tbere was no permanent belp gained. During his eight years' residence in Owosso, Fred wod many friends. He was a gradĂșate of the higb school in tbe class of '95. For sonie time after tbat he attended school in Olivet college, where he also had many friendfj He was proruiuently allied in sociai oircles in Owosso, and was well liked by a large number of acqaintanoes. The sympathies of all tbeir old friends in Owosso go out to Prof. and Mrs. Simmons in their bereavement. The funeral was held in Ypsilanti afc 2 o'clock Wednesday.
