Miss Nellie Clark is assisting Miss Swift in the millinery store.

James Blaisdell has been confined to the house by sickness for several days.

Delmer Walworth, of Bay City, is sick at the home of his parents in this place.

E. W. Hunt, of Saline, a former resident of this place, was in town over Sunday.

Miss Ashie Hall was the guest of Miss Gertrude Hogan, of Bridgewater last week.

Lewis & Gage are shipping large quantities of the finest celery from their farm.

Mr. Morse, of Adrian, stopped over between trains Saturday and visited at E. S. Hagaman's.

Mrs. Griffith, of Jackson, came here Tuesday for the purpose of inspecting the work of the W. R. C.

Corporal A. J. Hough, of the 31st Michigan, is visiting bis parents here. He bas a 10 days' furlough.

Miss Mina Wisner, of Detroit, is spending a few days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mis. Horace Wisner.

W. Kimball bad the misfortune to lose one of his fingers while working in the planing mili one day last week.

Miss Kate Wheaton, who bas been visiting her parents the past week, returned the first of the week to Ann Arbor, accompanied by her sister.

Messrs. Joe and George Alexander, of Clinton, were in town Saturday on business connected with a concert which they will give in the Baptist church Friday night.

The Baptist church was occupied the first three evenings of the week by a gentleman who is lecturing on temperance. He was assisted by his son and daughter who are excellent singers.
