GOOD WORK

Has Been Done by the Ladies of the North Side Chuch.

The work of plasering the basement of the new Fifth ward church has commenced. The ladies of the society deserve much credit for having collceted sufficient funds to carry on the work thus far without mortgaging the property. At times the directors have borrowed money on their individual notes, but these have all been taken up with the moneys collected. Some $1,700 or $1,800 more is needed to finish the church and the same zeal and determination as well as active work of the ladies of the church will soon see the church completed without the incubus of a church debt which does much to deaden effort.
