RECOVERED HIS WHEEL

_________________

The Bicycle Stolen on S. Fifth Ave.

from a Constable's House.

G. Clair Stock, a printer at the Courier office, narrowly escaped losing his wheel Tues evening. He can thank the vigilance of A.V. Robison that the thief did not get away with his plunder. Mr. Stock is rooming with William Eldert corner of S. Fifth ave. and E. Washington St. He had come home evening and left his wheel outside. He then went to bring it into the house at 10:30 o'clock it was gone. He immediately notified the police. During this time A. V. Robison saw a man light a match in a shed back of his sons livery stable on S. Fourth ave. Mr. Robison collared the man and said he would take him to jail. The fellow objected saying he had done nothing he was only trying to light a cigar. Mr. Robison let hi go and the man immediately left. Mr. Robison examined the inside of the shed and found a bicycle. He delivered this to the police department and yesterday Mr. Stock received his wheel. It is to be regretted that Mr. Robison did not hold on to the thief. It was so dark that he is unable to give much of a description of the man.
