Struck on Her Head

Mrs. O. M. Martin Fell From Her Porch.

And Was Unconscious for Three Hours and a Half-Concussion of the Brain Was Feared.

Mrs. O.M. Martin met with a serious accident Friday evening. She had been out watching the parade and when she returned home at about 9:30 o'clock she was unable to reach the key which had been left on the side porch. She climbed upon the railing to get the key when she fell striking upon the pavement a distance of some feet below. She struck on her head and was unconscious until 1 o'clock. The doctor stated that her hat and hair was all that saved her life. At first serious concussion of the brain was feared, but happily this did not occur. She is resting easier this afternoon but no visitors are allowed to see her. Her escape is almost miraculous when it is considered where and how she fell.
