Backhaus-Schneider

                     A Pleasant Wedding Yesterday Afternoon

Yesterday afternoon Deane, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Schneider and Mr. Henry Backhaus were married, Rev. A. L. Nicklas officiating.
The ceremony took place at he home of the bride in the presence of a few friends. Mr. Theodore Niethhammer and Miss Amanda Schneider stood up with the couple. Mr. and Mrs. Backhaus left on the Ann Arbor afternoon train for Menominee. They were accompanied to the depot by a number of friends who showered them with rice and old shoes.
They will on their return reside on Miller ave. Mr. Backhaus is a trusted employee of the Ann Arbor road in its freight house in this city.
The friends of the young people wish them a happy and prosperous life.
